Privacy Policy

Effective May 7, 2026.

This privacy policy explains what information Lysinski & Associates P.C. collects when you visit lysinski.com or submit information through our intake form, how we use that information, who we share it with, and what choices you have. It is written to be read.

What this site is — and what it isn’t.

This website provides general information about Adam Lysinski and Lysinski & Associates P.C. Reading this site, contacting us through it, or submitting an intake form does not create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship is formed only when both parties sign a written engagement letter.

Until that engagement letter is signed, anything you send us through this website is treated with professional discretion but is not protected by attorney-client privilege.

What we collect.

There are three categories of information this site may receive.

Information you submit voluntarily. If you fill out the intake form, you provide your name, your phone number or email address, and brief information about your legal matter (the practice area, your timeline, and how you’d like Adam to follow up). You provide that information when you choose to. The intake form will not submit unless you affirmatively check the consent box.

Other forms on the site. The site provides three additional submission paths and each is governed by this same privacy policy: (1) the 5-minute triage form available throughout the site — collects your name, an email address or phone number (your choice), an optional message, an optional flag indicating you prefer to be contacted in Polish, and ARDC consent acknowledgment; (2) downloadable resource request forms — collect your name and email in exchange for a PDF; and (3) the broker contract upload form at /for-real-estate-brokers/ — collects the broker’s name, email, brokerage, and an uploaded contract file. All of these submissions deliver as email to info@lysinski.com (or, for broker uploads, to adam@lysinski.com). The contact information you submit is used to respond to your inquiry and, if you become a client, to handle your matter. None of these forms submits unless you affirmatively check the consent box.

Information collected automatically. When you visit any page on this site, our hosting provider records standard server log information — your IP address, browser type, the page you requested, the referring page, and the time of the request. This is industry-standard web server behavior and is used for site operation, security, and troubleshooting.

Information collected by analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use this site — which pages are read, how long visitors stay, and what content is most useful. Google Analytics receives information about your visit (including approximate location, device type, and pages viewed) but is configured with IP anonymization enabled and does not collect personally identifying information unless you submit it through the intake form.

How we use it.

Information you submit through the intake form is used to evaluate whether your matter is a fit for the firm, to respond to your inquiry, and — if you become a client — to handle your matter. By submitting the form, you also consent to receive occasional follow-up communications from Lysinski & Associates P.C., including responses to your inquiry, updates on Illinois legal developments that may be relevant, articles published by the firm, and information about firm services or events. You may opt out of these communications at any time by replying “unsubscribe” to any email or by emailing info@lysinski.com.

Server logs and analytics data are used to operate, secure, and improve the site. They are not used to build advertising profiles or track you across other websites.

Who sees your information.

Adam Lysinski personally reviews every intake submission. The firm does not have associates, paralegals, or shared inboxes. The infrastructure providers that hold and route your data on our behalf are:

  • Microsoft Corporation — provides the Microsoft 365 email service that receives and stores intake submissions and other email at lysinski.com addresses. Email is retained on Microsoft 365 servers indefinitely and is not auto-forwarded or backed up to any other location.
  • HostGator (a brand of Newfold Digital, Inc.) — hosts the lysinski.com website and maintains standard server access logs.
  • Google LLC — provides Google Analytics 4 (traffic analysis) and Google Fonts (typography). Google may receive IP addresses when these services load on your browser.

Adam may use internal AI-assisted tools that he operates personally to organize, search, and respond to inquiries efficiently. Any such use is the equivalent of Adam reviewing the inquiry himself and does not involve sharing your information with third-party AI services beyond the providers named above.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information for advertising or marketing purposes. We do not transfer your information to data brokers, lead-generation companies, or marketing partners. We do not use your information to retarget you with advertising on other websites.

We may disclose information when required by law, valid legal process, or to defend the firm in legal proceedings. We may also disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to prevent imminent harm.

Confidentiality of prospective-client information.

Even before an engagement letter is signed, Illinois Rule of Professional Conduct 1.6 (and corresponding rules in the other states where Adam is admitted) governs the firm’s handling of prospective-client information. We treat the substantive details of your inquiry as confidential and use them only to evaluate the matter and respond to you.

Your choices.

You can request access to the information we hold about you, request that we correct it, or request that we delete it. Email info@lysinski.com to make any of these requests. We will respond within thirty days.

If you have submitted information through the intake form, deletion requests will be honored except where retention is required for ethical, legal, or operational reasons (for example, conflict-checking obligations or matters where the firm has been retained).

You can opt out of analytics collection by enabling Do Not Track in your browser, by using browser extensions that block analytics scripts, or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On. The site will continue to function normally.

Security.

All traffic to this site is encrypted in transit using TLS. Intake submissions are transmitted to Microsoft 365 over encrypted connections. Microsoft 365 stores email at rest with provider-managed encryption. Adam manages access to the firm’s email through standard authentication controls.

No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is perfectly secure. We use commercially reasonable safeguards but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Retention.

Technical server logs (including hashed IP addresses and audit entries) are retained for thirty (30) days and then deleted, unless required for an active security investigation. Form submissions delivered to the firm by email are retained in the firm’s inbox until you request deletion. If we represent you on a matter, the matter file is retained per the firm’s records-retention policy and applicable Illinois ethics rules. To request deletion of any information you submitted, email info@lysinski.com.

Cookies and analytics.

This website collects two categories of data, with full disclosure of each.

1. Aggregate usage data (no cookies, runs for every visitor).

Like nearly every website on the internet, the firm maintains server-side records of who visits, when, and what pages were viewed. Specifically, we record: the pages you visit and when; the source that referred you (search engine, link, or direct typing); your country and approximate region, derived from IP address; the type of device and browser you are using; clicks on important page elements (call buttons, form submission attempts); and aggregate counts of how many visitors clicked, scrolled, or submitted forms.

This information is recorded without using cookies, without tracking you across other websites, and without identifying you personally. Your IP address is converted to a one-way cryptographic hash before storage, and the raw IP address is never retained by the firm. This data is used to understand which content is most useful to visitors, which referral sources bring visitors to the firm, and where the website itself can be improved. We retain this aggregate data for analytical purposes and may keep it indefinitely in aggregated form.

This collection is permissible under applicable privacy laws as legitimate interest in operating and improving a professional services website. It does not require consent under GDPR, CCPA, the Illinois Personal Information Protection Act, or any other applicable law because no cookies are set, no personal identifiers are stored, and no cross-site tracking occurs.

2. Optional detailed analytics (opt-in only).

If you wish to provide more detailed analytics, you may opt in to Google Analytics 4 and/or Microsoft Clarity by clicking “Cookie preferences” in the footer of this website. If you opt in:

  • Google Analytics 4 will set first-party cookies in your browser to recognize repeat visits and to measure aggregate site usage. We have configured GA4 with IP anonymization enabled, Google Signals disabled, and ad personalization disabled. We do not use GA4 data for advertising. We do not share GA4 data with advertising networks.
  • Microsoft Clarity may record session activity (mouse movement, clicks, scroll depth) and aggregates anonymized usage data. Clarity processes data in accordance with Microsoft’s Privacy Statement. We do not sell or share Clarity data with third parties beyond Microsoft. Clarity automatically masks sensitive form fields.

Optional analytics are off by default for every visitor. Cookies for these tools are set only after you explicitly opt in. You can change your preference at any time by clicking “Cookie preferences” in the footer.

What we do not use.

This website does NOT use third-party advertising cookies or retargeting pixels; social media tracking pixels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.); cross-site or cross-device fingerprinting; or sale of personal data to any third party.

Forms and submissions.

Information you provide through any form on this website (intake, downloadable resource request, broker contract upload) is delivered directly to the firm by secure email and stored in the firm’s private records system. We do not use this information for advertising or sell it to any third party. You may request deletion of any information you submitted by emailing info@lysinski.com at any time; your record will be removed within 30 days.

Technical identifiers used for fraud prevention.

When you submit any form (intake, lead-magnet download, or broker contract upload), the firm logs a SHA256-hashed and salted version of your IP address — never the raw IP — for the purpose of preventing automated abuse, rate-limiting submissions, and fraud detection. The User-Agent string of your browser is logged in audit records but is not included in the email body sent to the firm. Hashed IPs and audit log entries are retained for thirty (30) days and then deleted.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA).

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA") provides specific rights regarding your personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months.

Subject to verification of your identity, you have the right to: (a) know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use it; (b) request deletion of your personal information; (c) request correction of inaccurate personal information; (d) request a copy of your personal information in a portable format; and (e) opt out of any future sale or sharing of your personal information.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at adam@lysinski.com or (773) 777-9888. We will respond within 45 days. Some information may be retained as required by attorney-client confidentiality, the Illinois Rules of Professional Conduct, or other applicable law.

European Economic Area / United Kingdom / Polish residents (GDPR).

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Poland, the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") applies to our processing of your personal data when you submit information through this website.

Our lawful basis for processing the personal data you submit through the intake form is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) and, if you become a client, performance of the attorney-client engagement (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). For aggregate analytics, our lawful basis is legitimate interest in measuring site performance (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

You have the right to: (a) access your personal data; (b) request rectification or erasure; (c) restrict or object to processing; (d) data portability; (e) withdraw consent at any time; and (f) lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your jurisdiction (in Poland: Urząd Ochrony Danych Osobowych — UODO).

We do not transfer personal data outside the United States as a matter of routine. If transfer becomes necessary for a specific representation, we will rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms. Contact for data-rights requests: adam@lysinski.com or (773) 777-9888.

Children.

This site is intended for adult readers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through this site, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to this policy.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always posted at lysinski.com/privacy-policy/. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date and, if appropriate, communicated to clients with active matters.
